Marion Kadi

Fanciful Illustrations
& Playful
Representations

I am an illustrator and painter. I grew up in France. Right now I live in the US. I create original artworks for magazines, books, brands, private collectors, and myself. I am also the author and illustrator of a children’s book, Les Reflets d’Hariett (Hariett’s Reflections), to be published in French by L’Agrume in September 2021. To the occasional annoyance of my partner, my home is my laboratory: I’m constantly re-painting my walls and furniture.

I’m a figurative painter. There is often a whimsical manner to my work. I’m inspired by decorative arts and painting. I admire painters like Matisse, and the Nabis painters (Vuillard, Bonnard) who worked across fields and media. I frequently get commissions to paint portraits and food, as well as genre scenes and landscapes.

Selected Clients: The New York Times, Frieze Week, Gucci, Apartamento, Zadig Magazine, Poetry Magazine, The London Poetry Review, edible Queens, Actes Sud…
